Border police arrests Nigerian national with suspected stolen goods

A 40-year-old man of Nigerian origin has been arrested at the Cape Town International Airport while trying to leave the country with suspected stolen goods estimated to be worth over R200 000.

According to the police the man was found in possession of 20 cellular phones, tho HDV video cameras, two iPods, two laptops, two digital cameras, two video cameras and 17 memory sticks worth an estimated value of R204 000.

“Two of the cellular phones and one laptop were linked to criminal cases reported at the Ocean View SAPS,” Western Cape police said.

The man, who was on his way to Nigeria via Johannesburg, is currently in police castody and will appear at the Bellville Magistrates’ Court on charges related to possession of possible stolen property. – seniojournalism.com
