Pretoria – Two suspects linked to the murder of Major General Tirhani Maswanganyi appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court yesterday (Monday, 1 July).
The case against the two suspects, Tshepo Mosai and Godfrey Moseki, was postponed, and they will reappear in court with their co-accused for a bail hearing in a few days.
The two were arrested on Saturday, bringing to four the number of suspects in the case. Two others (Isaac Vele and Nditshenidanelu Nefalolidu) were arrested last week and have already appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Thursday. Their case was postponed to 8 July for a formal bail hearing.
Police have not ruled out the possibility of more arrest in the murder, as the investigation is still on-going.
The 52-year-old policeman’s body was found just two weeks ago in a bushy area next to the road near Hammanskraal, north of Pretoria. The motive of his murder is still not known. He was laid to rest last Thursday in Temba, Hammanskraal.
